St. Patricks day is really a feast day to celebrate the arrival of Christianity in Ireland… Usually celebrated with an Irish meal of… well… corned beef and cabbage of course. (maybe a Guinness or 2 as well). What that has to do with Hawaii and Sean and Lourdes wedding, I have no idea!
What an incredible feast it was, spiritually and emotionally for this wonderful couple born and raised here in the islands…
I was a little concerned when I found out the wedding was on St Patricks Day because of the traditional wearing of green. We photographers like to suffer in black in the hot sun! What are we supposed to do when we have to wear green….? Make black and whites!
After getting to know Sean, I have to say that the guy has the most incredible smile, laugh and sense of humor and all around amazing attitude toward life! Check out this guys smile! You can just hear him laugh through your screen!
St Patricks’ Church would probably be most appropriate for the day and the church was beautiful! Check out the charm of the ring bearer Matt and the flower girl Kailani… A very talented young lady in her own right, as you’ll see in a bit.
I love this first look reaction! Probably the best ever! So much planning and anticipation goes into this day that the release is sometimes overwhelming when the moment finally comes….
Much better when it’s all said and done, right?
Gregg Hammer brought it… again…
Kapena performed a wonderful set of favorites…
And thank you to our DJ as well! Ryan Aguda of HiDef Productions! Here are some other wonderful moments from our St Patricks Day…
Here’s the serenade by 8 year old Kailani singing “Go Surf”! I told you she was talented. She even inspires a following!
Kailani killed it! Lourdes had to follow with a treat of her own!
Of course the Money Dance was in there too! Lourdes serenaded Sean with “Fools Rush In”… So romantic!
Last image for the evening…Fun stuff! I am thankful to be a part of such a wonderful and warm event. If you were at the event you can see proofs and order prints here. Thank you so much Kent Nishimura for all your hard work!!
