As we peered at the weather approaching, Keriann and Nicks’ wedding date fell right between two fierce and large hurricanes. I mean right between. We had a very slight window where the weather could actually be good! We were all praying. On the night of Aug 7th the Big Islands’ windward side got hammered by Hurricane Iselle… We waited as she approached on Friday. A day before the wedding, the island shut down. No shopping, no last minute prep, no answers to the most important questions. When and where?! Saturday was coming fast and we were looking at the skies with more optimistic breath. It was almost as if the storm never came. the plans all fell beautifully into place like it was planned like this all along! The day was absolutely beautiful. The light couldn’t have been better. That soft diffused cloud cover made Keriann look like she’s never looked before. We left the chapel at Kamehemeha Schools to shoot some location portraits at Iolani Place before heading to the Halekulani for a beautiful and warm reception!
‘I want to give a shout to all the fabulous vendors we had that graciously performed through the weather….We love you all!
